A master of clarity and glamour, his excellence in interior design has given him recognition in countless publications in the in the field of design locally and internationally. His design practice was established in 1991. He is the design principal of the firm J. Antonio Mendoza Design Consultants Manila.

Mendoza is 100% Philippine-trained and holds a degree of Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the 400-year- old Royal and Pontifical Universidad de Santo Tomas, Manila.
